Internet-Gaming-Cell Phone Safety Seminar - Posted May 20, 2013
Bell Top Elementary School will host an important internet safety seminar offered by the North Greenbush Police on Wednesday, June 5 at 7 p.m. in the Bell Top cafeteria.  The event is for parents and students, is free of charge and is open to all of our East Greenbush Central School District community members.  For additional information click here.

Unfortunately once again this year, the weather appears to be uncooperative with our scheduled Field Day events!  The determination for having or not having Field Day will be made in the morning on Tuesday, May 21. Board of Education Adopts 2013/2014 Budget - Posted April 10, 2013
The East Greenbush CSD Board of Education adopted a budget for the 2013-2014 school year at its April 8 meeting. The budget totals $86,143,773 and represents an increase in spending of 1.20 percent over the current year and would result in a 0.32 percent tax levy increase in the coming year. The plan will now go before district residents for a public vote on May 21, 2013. Read More...

I wish each of our Bell Top families a safe and relaxing spring recess (No School Friday, March 29 – Friday, April 5, 2013). We return to school on Monday, April 8, 2013.  The required New York State Testing Program for Grades 3-5 is fast approaching. This year the state testing program has been redesigned to measure student learning aligned to the six shifts in English Language Arts and Mathematics within the new common core learning standards. District to Hold Budget Review and Community Budget Meetings - Posted February 25, 2013
The East Greenbush Central School District Board of Education will begin the budget deliberation process on March 6, with the first of three budget review sessions. While current projections indicate the district may receive an increase of $266,967 over last year, the district has lost a cumulative $12,059,550 since 2010 through the Gap Elimination Adjustment (GEA). As the Board formulates a budget for the 2013/2014 school year, the unique challenges brought about by the GEA and the tax cap legislation require a thoughtful discussion on the programs and services our community values most for our students. Bus Recognition Program for Outstanding Conduct - Posted February 5, 2013
Savannah (grade K), Kiarah, Makaylah, and Jamizin (grade 1), Sarah and Clara (grade 2), and Tyler (grade 4) were recognized by their bus driver for displaying positive bus conduct (following rules, caring and encouraging others, and standing up for others) during the month of April 2013. All of the children receive a certificate of recognition and their pictures are displayed on our bulletin board as we attempt to recognize students of character.

A Message from Superintendent Dr. Angela Nagle - Posted December 20, 2012
Thank you very much for all of your suggestions and comments regarding the safety of our schools.  Together, we work as partners to make sure that our schools and our community is safe for everyone.

Local and State police departments will have a presence in our schools over the coming days and the month ahead.  You will notice local and state police cars parked at our schools and you may also see uniformed police officers touring our schools.  This will now be a normal occurrence and is not a cause for concern.  This is simply to heighten our level of security and it allows law enforcement to become familiar with our buildings.  Read More…

New Assessments for 2012/2013- Updated September 24, 2012
As we begin the 2012-2013 school year, there have been many changes in education that will affect the students in the East Greenbush Central School District.
