Running in to the school year – Posted October 30, 2014
The Bell Top Running Club meets for fun and fitness on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings before school throughout the fall and spring seasons. Due to construction, we have been training by running the perimeter of the playground. An average of 90 third, fourth, and fifth grade students participate each morning. Second graders are invited to join. Our PTO sponsors a charm incentive program which motivates the children toward reaching their endurance goals while reinforcing valuable character education skills. Many of our runners participated in the recent Barrett Memorial Run; one of our second-grade boys claimed students claimed first place in the second-grade boys category. We look forward to training for the Freihofer Junior Run and the Bob Smith Memorial Run on our new field in the spring. Parent volunteers are welcome and encouraged to join us!
