Congratulations to Mrs. Tara O’Connell for being selected as the 2010Academy for Character Education at the Sage Colleges Teacher Leadership Award.  Mrs. O’Connell will be honored at a ceremony this March.

Dear Parents:

Our students are well on their way to a magnificent and industrious 2010!  Our Bell Top School’s Character Education Program continues to positively impact our school community.  Our students and staff participated in many school and community events during the holiday season.  The Bell Top Staff continued with the tradition of participating in the annual “Giving Tree” initiative which supports many families that are in need.  Many of our students brought in unwrapped gifts that were then donated to Rensselaer County’s CONCERNS-U. 

Our staff and students are currently engaged in our “Help for Haiti” project.  Over the next few weeks the Bell Top School community will be raising money for the victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti.  All monies that are collected will be donated to UNICEF to help the children of Haiti.  An informational flier went home on January 25, 2010.
