Thank you to Parents/Guardians for submitting your child's absence notes on a timely basis. Please note that processing the absence excuses takes at least a week before the results appear on the Parent Portal. Thank you for your understanding.

Columbia High School has a direct Absence Call-In phone line that is
available 24 hours a day and is checked daily prior to absentee phone calls made home to Parents/Guardians.

Plan for Student Absences Due To Recent Flu Outbreak

Columbia High School instructors are working individually with students to complete missed work due to absences during this unique season of illness.  Instructors are being flexible in extending deadlines and providing the necessary time to make up missed work.  Our Math and English Learning Resource Centers are open throughout the day as well as our After School Tutorials which are scheduled Monday through Thursday.  Parents should encourage their children to utilize these educational resources once their child returns to school from an absence.

If a child is ill, and unable to attend school, parents may contact the Guidance Office, or the Assistant Principal, to make arrangements for classroom assignments to be picked up at school.
