Goals of the Guidance & Counseling Services

  • To teach students decision-making & problem solving strategies.

  • To help students apply to colleges or for jobs.

Personal counseling for a wide range of problems facing teens

  • Group Counseling
  • Career Counseling
  • College Counseling
  • Academic Counseling

Counseling & Collaborative Services

  • Coordinate efforts with the school social worker, school psychologists and CSE on behalf of the students
  • Coordinate referrals to school and community resources
  • Facilitate parent/teacher communication
  • Administration and interpretation of college entrance examinations
  • Provide advice on behavorial interventions for parents and teachers
  • Develop strategies with teachers and parents for at-risk students
