LIBRARY MEDIA CENTER POLICIES GOAL OF THE MEDIA CENTER: CHECKING OUT BOOKS: OVERDUE POLICY: If a student is overdue for two or more library times, a note will be sent home as a reminder with the cost of the book if it needs to be replaced. At the end of the year, we recommend that the students have a "clean" library record. Any book that hasn't been returned will be assumed lost and a bill will be issued. In the following September any student who still has an outstanding overdue book will not be allowed to take out books until the record is cleared. DONATIONS: We will also accept books that come from the home library. The student may have outgrown the selection and you have been wondering how to clear them from the shelves. If the books are in good condition and on a K-5 reading level we will consider them. Any that we decide not to keep, I donate to Greeenbush Child Care (GCC) for their use. MEDIA CENTER HOURS: During the school day, if the lights are off and the doors are closed, it means there is no supervision for students and no one to assist faculty members. All parties should return at a later time when someone is available to assist and/or supervise. |
