SCHOOLS COLORS & MASCOT On May 15, 2007 the students of the Donald P. Sutherland School had the unique opportunity to vote on our school colors. The vote was held during the evening in conjunction with our district-wide budget vote.Our students were able to have the same experience as our registered district voters. They signed into our registration book and then proceeded to place their vote using a voting machine. It was a great experience for all. The winning color combination and official DPS school colors are: Blue and Gold In May 2008, the boys and girls had a second opportunity to participate on a school wide vote. This voting experience focused on choosing a school mascot. The choices were:
