We gathered information from a variety of sources. At first, the children thought they would be able to get information about the history of their school from the Internet and from books. They soon realized that the richest source of information was to be interviews of people who had lived in the area when the school was built and new.

This led to an exciting partnership with community people we never would have met otherwise, and whose stories have enriched us all. We had the feeling the project could go on indefinitely as more people found out about what we were doing and volunteered to come in to talk to us. We communicated with some of them through email, too. Most of all, we want to thank those who made this Website possible by sharing their stories:
