Task |
| You will be preparing for a PowerPoint presentation to show a panel of Publishers. The publishers will be choosing which authors they will offer contracts to for the upcoming publishing season. Your presentation will include all of the pertinent information and pictures you have gathered about the Young Adult Author (your client) that you have chosen to represent. As a literary agent you must be able to offer as much important, positive and interesting information about your client as possible, within the guidelines of the presentation. Remember, you are "selling" this person, and want them to acquire a job. |

 Goals of the Project |
- To research general biographical information, professional accomplishments, personal interests, and the literary style of an author of your choice.
- To discover the other books that your author has written.
- To share information about a book you will read by your author, and give excerpts from the book that exemplify their style of writing.
- To present information learned about your author through a PowerPoint presentation designed to persuade a panel of “publishers” to award your author a book contract.
- To view other students' presentations as part of a panel whose mission is to select authors for publication.
